Masonmill Gardens is situated in the middle of the Jarrah forest in Carmel. It was originally known as the Melville Rose farm which incorporated the Rose Heritage Cafe.
The rose farm and nursery is now closed and the area once used for Rose production is being turned into gardens using a lot of the old rose stock.
Robbie Melvillve continues on the family tradition in their nursery and rose operation. Find out more details by clicking here or visiting www.rosengardenperth.com
We currently have two full time gardeners as well as two contract gardening companies that work with us. Special emphasis has been put on sustainability by utilising our watering system as efficiently as possible as well as using only bore and reclaimed water for reticulation.
As well as the gardens we also have a beautiful Koi pond which is enjoyed by all who visit especially if you sit back and feed the fish. A bag of fish food can be purchased at the shop and restaurant for $2.50 and is a great treat for the kids.
Please feel free to take photos but if the gardens are to be used for professional photography then this can only be done by appointment and there is a $200.00 charge. Please contact Lyndsey at [email protected] to organise.
